Sweet Tables ... the trend continues ...

The Candy Cart or Sweet Buffet arrived on these shores a few years back from the US where it's been a wedding and party staple for years. Featuring a sweet table at your event adds a bit of nostalgic fun but also creates a lasting memory for guests.

We think that the Sweet Buffet is here to stay, certainly it's one of our most popular hire items, with regular bookings way into 2017.

This year many of our couples have had a sweet buffet rather than traditional favours - we think this is a lovely idea as often wedding favours get lost in midst of table flowers, decor and champagne! It's also an added extra for guests, some of our client like to "reveal" the sweet buffet later in the evening as an extra surprise for their guests.

At Wit and Wisdom we don't opt for the traditional sweet cart either (we always like to be different)! We use a gorgeous shabby-chic table top with genuine vintage glass bowls, jelly moulds and cake stands. You can also hire our Art Deco Cocktail cabinet - this certainly creates a wow factor and acts as a real centrepiece at a wedding or event. One of our best commissions was a Sweet Garden - inspired by Heston's edible garden - we hung sweets from trees and filled garden trugs with popcorn and chocolates.  It certainly got the guests talking!

So what do we predict for 2017? Well, if our order book is anything to go by, the sweet buffet reigns supreme but watch out for the rise of the Donut Wall and Hot Chocolate Bar!
